CUSTOM MADE VENEERED AND LACQUERED DOORS:

The art of veneering  dates back to the Renaissance, it consisted of dressing up woods of lesser quality with a layer of noble wood such as, cherry, walnut, mahogany, etc. These layers where obtained stratifying the  trunk in sheets , than glued and fixed in place with miniature headless nails. The characteristic of the veneer is the repetitive image , several sheets are cut at the same radius point. This characteristic enabled the Artisans of that time to create veneer  furniture of symmetric design and  kaleidoscopic  extraordinary beauty. The lacquering  dates  back to the 1730-1760 , existed freely in Venice home of the "Barocchetto Italiano" also  known as the Rococo' in France and Chippendale in England.

The "PORTEDI " of the DIERRE group, follows in this foot print, salvaging  the more authentic values, abilities, patience and knowledge of the materials, side by side with the advantage of the industrial production.  Expeditious flawless production,  results of precision are the true spirit of its products.
